The Howell Area Fire Department has many apparatus.
HAFD services the area with 5 Engines, 2 Rescues, 1 Ladder, 1 Tanker, 3 Brush Trucks, 1 Utility Truck, a Dive Rescue Unit, and 2 Boats.
HAFD also houses Livingston County Haz-Mat Truck-1, Livingston County Haz-Mat Trailer and the Livingston County Technical Rescue Truck.
